My family and I are in town for a volleyball tournament and this just happens to be walking distance from our hotel. We walked there yesterday to grab some lunch and we only had a brief wait to clear a table. We were sat and a waitress ordered our drinks promptly. While we ordered with our faces in the menu we didn't really look at the waitress. When she brought our cheese dip we had a few questions as we'd never been to this restaurant. The longer we had to speak with her the more I lost my appetite. There is a tribe in Papua New Guinea that chew Betel nut or buai it is a mild stimulant and the locals chew it like ppl in the states drink their Starbucks. Anyway, it stains their lips, teeth and tongues red. The waitress' mouth looked like this except her mouth was brown and her teeth were rotten. Her fingernails looked dirty and she had blackheads all in her ears! As soon as she walked away I asked my husband if we could just leave. We quickly canceled our order and paid for our cheese dip on the way out! I feel really bad for the girl because she probably just didn't know any better but management should really have a talk about hygiene to the face of their company. The cheese dip seemed ok. The salsa tasted more like marinara to me.

I'm normally not a fan of white caso but theirs was amazing. Got the chicken chalupas and they were really good.

For gods sake turn the music down just a smidge!.... Can't order or get the order correct !.... Good food !!... If you bring in earplugs and know sign language ! Perhaps a note pad to help order ...: take to go??

Food was standard fare. I was with a group of ten and they were very accommodating of our group. Service was fair, but restaurant was packed at the time we were dining.

The fajitas were literally deep fried with tons of oil oozing out:(....never seen such an oily fajita! The salsa with the chips was good...

The food was very good. It was crowded so we had to sit at the bar. I would go there again.

In town for a dance competition with the kids, hungry, tired, and had bad service in "other" restaurant in town. Pleasent surprise here! Good service, friendly, could handle a table of 6 without a breakdown. Everything came hot, tasty, and again good service. I had the Chilli Rellenos, it was perfect. My wife & eldest daughter split the fajitas, plenty left over, and tasty, tasty (not that boiled meat some seem to serve). It was not expensive, we didn't have to wait long for our food, and all in all I would say it was great experience and would come back if in Hot Springs, and/or recommend to a friend who is planning to visit. I will put some more photos up of the food so you can see what you can expect.

Decent, not remarkable. Probably somewhat more on the Tex-Mex side of things. They were a little too conservative with the meat portion on my enchiladas. The one thing that stood out was their refried beans. It's hard to explain, but some places just make superior beans. The rice and everything else, you can take or leave. It's not bad by any means, but... The atmosphere was nice downtown. But yeah, decent overall.

The service was fast, the cheese sauce was almost warm, the food was nothing to brag about. It was bland & didn't sit well on my stomach. I won't be going back. Traveling around Hot Springs, there is much better Mexican food places to eat at. Update: I only used my debit card only once while in Hot Springs, at this restaurant & I got a call from my bank asking about a charge in Mexico.... They declined the charge & I had to get a new card. Watch your debit, credit cards here!

Decent food, service a little slow and decor not much to look at. The food came out fast, but we had to ask the server numerous times for different things. We ordered the fried avocado appetizer which was OK. The chimichanga was good, the fish dish was way too salty, but the stuffed poblano was delicious. Salsa was decent, but not spicy enough.

Decent Mexican food if you're in a hurry. Overall the food was three star while the service was five star. Chips were crispy, cheese dip was tasty. Salsa tasted as good as some of the best marinara sauces I've had; not really a plus at Mexican restaurant. Had the Razorback. Was good but not great. I would eat there again but not make a special trip.

If your looking a nice spot for some Mexican Food, then check out this place just on the Corner of Central. They do get busy, however the wait is typically not long at all. The servers are pretty fast, and the chips and salsa are tasty, the chips are served hot while the salsa is a little spicy (which I liked). We also got the Queso which is a mix of white cheese, and has a nice taste, the grilled chicken was plenty juicy and there rice is flavorful and everything comes in a nice size so eat hearty. The tables are close together, and they only have one bathroom, other than that its a a nice place to grab some food before heading into the rest of Central and they do offer free parking (2 hours only). Enjoy

The food here was decent. Nice crispy chips with decent salsa. Food came in a timely fashion, beverage refills were prompt. Pleasant wait staff. It wasn't the be all end all of Mexican but near by the convention center and no line for supper right as our conference let out for dinner break. They lost a star for inconsistency in how they ring out checks. We were told you pay at the register near the entrance. When we arrived at the register we were queued up inline to be rung out after those guests who had handed their cards and cash to the waiter at their table. Despite a few of these cards arriving after we did. When questioned the cashier said that we prefer people to check out at the register when its busy. However, she would not ring us out ahead of the other cards queued up for the people at tables. I wouldn't say don't go here but just be warned that you may have a bit of a wait to get the check settled up.

This is a great place to get fajitas, with some decent queso. Ok, so I had to edit this review. Since this, I've had another local set of fajitas that matched this one, but the real reason for the edit is that sometimes the service is subpar. I brought a large group in and they disappointed us with the service, but the food was still really good. I'm pretty sure they were just unprepared (who gets a 12 person table at 2:30pm, eh), but it's not an excuse I can live with when I feel embarrassed for bringing people there. The food is good, and some of the servers are good, but you will have a crapshoot on getting the good one.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
